{About the photographer}

Hi! I'm Melanie. I am a stay-at-home mom, a wife, and a daughter of Christ. I have such a passion for photography that just keeps growing. I love taking photos of babies, toddlers, kiddos, and families. Kids bring so much joy and color into our worlds, and capturing those moments in time is priceless. I also enjoy taking couple/engagement portraits and bridal portraits, but I'm not taking on any weddings right now because life is picking up around here! I have a little toddler who is the spunk and light of my days. We are also expecting #2, so I plan to take on photo shoots through November then I'll take a break for holidays and caring for my babies. :)

My sister actually thought of the name "More Than Rubies," and I fell in love with it. It's in reference to the Bible verses Proverbs 31:10-31. It's talking about a God-fearing wife who works hard every day. Her husband is proud to have her as his. I strive to be a wife like that, even though I've got a long way to go! Naming this More Than Rubies Photography is a great reminder for me to work hard, be diligent, and always praise the Lord for what I have.
